Adding an Attachment to an Alarm using WebStation

You add an attachment, for example a .pdf file or a trend log, to assist the user when diagnosing or solving the problem that caused the alarm.

You can add attachments to alarm objects, except System Information alarms. An attachment is a link pointing to an object in the system. When an alarm that has an attachment is triggered, a paperclip icon is displayed in the Alarms pane and Alarm Views. It is also possible to configure the attachment to display when the alarm is going from Normal to Alarm state.

L'allegato può essere anche un messaggio vocale, un report, un grafico del Trend, una tabella, un file di Microsoft Word, un file PDF, una registrazione video o una finestra popup contenente informazioni relative all'allarme.

Puoi aggiungere lo stesso allegato o un insieme di allegati a più allarmi in un'unica operazione. Puoi anche eliminare allegati appartenenti a più allarmi in un'unica operazione. Se aggiungi un allegato che è già stato allegato a un allarme, l'ultimo allegato viene aggiunto come duplicato.

Puoi anche aprire altri tipi di allegati, a condizione che il programma o l'editor associato all'allegato sia installato localmente sul tuo computer. Per esempio, se l'allegato è un file PDF, puoi aprire il file se Adobe Reader o un programma simile è installato sul tuo computer.

To add an attachment to an alarm using WebStation

  1. In WebStation, select the alarm.

  2. In the Alarm dialog box, click Attachments .

  3. In the Attachments dialog box, click the Add .

  4. Select the attachment.

  5. Click Select .

  6. Select if you want the attachment to be displayed when the alarm is triggered.

  7. Click Save .
