The eCommission Bluetooth Adapter allows you to establish a Bluetooth connection to MP and RP Series controllers. You plug the Bluetooth Adapter into the corresponding SmartX Sensor to connect to the controller. The Adapter communicates with the SmartX IP controller over the sensor bus using an RS-485 cable. For more information, see Connecting SmartX Sensors to an MP Series Controller .

SMARTX SENSOR OR OTHER EQUIPMENT DAMAGE

  • Plug in the adapter with the button to the front.

  • Do not plug into any device other than a SmartX Sensor.

Failure to follow these instructions can result in equipment damage.

Connecting to a Controller with the eCommission Bluetooth Adapter

The Bluetooth Adapter allows you to establish a Bluetooth connection to MP and RP Series controllers. To connect to a device through the Bluetooth Adapter, a SmartX Sensor must be wired to the controller.

Changing the PIN of the eCommission Bluetooth Adapter

You change the PIN of the eCommission Adapter for best security practices. The Bluetooth Adapter PIN is engineered to a default code of 333666 and should be changed to a secure code before you perform device commissioning.

You update the eCommission Bluetooth Adapter firmware to improve adapter performance.

eCommission Bluetooth Adapter LED Functionality

The eCommission Bluetooth Adapter LED light displays different sequences to indicate the various functionality.

To perform a factory reset on the eCommission Bluetooth Adapter
  1. Connect the Bluetooth Adapter to the SmartX Sensor.

  2. Press and hold the LED push button for 30 seconds.

The Bluetooth Adapter has been reset to its factory setting. The PIN has been reset to 333666. Your mobile device or Windows 10 laptop will need to reconnect to the Adapter and you will need to enter the factory PIN before connecting to the Adapter.
