Running the eCommission SmartX Controllers mobile application on a Windows laptop computer, you can connect directly to an Ethernet port on a networked SmartX IP controller, or use an Ethernet switch to connect to a group of controllers.
Configure the network connections on the eCommission application computer and the SmartX IP controllers:
For more information, see Configuring SmartX IP Controller Device Settings .
If the network contains a DHCP server, configure these network connections for DHCP addressing.
If the network does not contain a DHCP server, configure these network connections for static IP addressing.
Connect an Ethernet cable between the eCommission application computer and Port 1 of an SmartX IP controller on the network. If you are using an Ethernet switch, connect the computer and the controllers to the switch, using Ethernet cables.
In the eCommission application, on the Select Connection view, tap or click the WiFi icon
In the Device List view, select the SmartX IP controllers to make the connections.
The Device List view allows you to easily find and select the appropriate controllers:
You can filter the device list by controller model. If you are logged in as a Flow Balancer, the device list is automatically filtered to show only MP-V controllers.
When using functions that can be applied to multiple controllers at once, you can use multi-select to choose two or more controllers.
Using the eCommission application, you can now perform tasks on the connected SmartX IP controllers as needed.
