Connecting to Network of SmartX IP Controllers through a Wireless Access Point

You can use a wireless access point to connect the eCommission SmartX Controllers mobile application to the SmartX IP controller network.

Download, install, and activate the eCommission application

Download, install, and activate the eCommission application, and accept the end user license agreement.

Power up the controllers

Start the eCommission application and discover controllers

Start the eCommission application and then discover the SmartX IP controllers on the network.

To connect to a network of SmartX IP controllers through a wireless access point

  1. Confirm that the access point is connected to a wired network containing a DHCP server.

  2. Configure the network settings on the mobile device running the eCommission application to connect to the WiFi network containing the SmartX IP controllers.

  3. On the mobile device, enable WiFi and then connect to the wireless network.

  4. In the eCommission application, on the Select Connection view, tap the WiFi icon

    to start wireless networking.

  5. In the Device List view, select the SmartX IP controllers to make the connection.

    Note:

    The Device List view allows you to easily find and select the appropriate controllers:

    • You can filter the device list by controller model. If you are logged in as a Flow Balancer, the device list is automatically filtered to show only MP-V controllers.

    • When using functions that can be applied to multiple controllers at once, you can use multi-select to choose two or more controllers.

Using the eCommission application, you can now perform tasks on the connected SmartX IP controllers as needed.
